Pastor Mac Patton is a native of the Gulf Coast, having graduated from Long Beach High School before attending University of South Alabama. While he was living in Mobile, AL, Mac met and married Sonjia (McCardle) Patton in 1983. Mac and Sonjia have been blessed with two sons (Joshua and Jonathan) and seven grandchildren. On June 10, 1984 at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama, Mac began his new life in Christ . After being licensed into the gospel ministry on September 16, 1987 and serving as a Youth Pastor, an Associate Pastor, and an Interim Pastor, Mac was ordained as a pastor on November 15, 1992. Bro. Mac served many years as a bi-vocational pastor until his retirement as a high school and middle school teacher. On February 20, 2022, O'Neal Road Baptist Church became the fifth church that Bro. Mac has served as a pastor, and we believe our best days are ahead of us.
