How Should We Preach?

We hear people say that they like this type of preaching or that type of preaching, but have we ever considered what type of preaching God wants us to hear?  In Peter's sermon on the day of Pentecost after he and the other disciples had received the promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit, we see a pattern for how we should preach.  This type of Spirit-empowered proclamation of the gospel results in heartfelt contrition which glorifies God and blesses mankind.
